Welcome to Pipper's Page! Now let me tell you a bit about my baby devil, Pipper. Pipper was found on the streets in Colorado as a tiny 10 week old kitten. He happened to wander into my friends house to play with her kids. What cat would do that!!?? Joy couldn't keep him because her husband Davis was allergic to cats. So who does she call? You guessed it........ME! :) Now, I wanted nothing to do with this kitten. She begged and begged me to take him at least for a bit while they found himk a home. Very relunctantly I said yes. Pepper, my other cat, ahd been the only cat for quite soem time now and hated all cats. She nearly killed Trouble when she was a tiny kitten, so needless to say I was not expecting it to be pretty.

Here is Pipper just being his cute self!

So....they brought Pipper over and it was love at first site. After two das I decided to keep him. Pepper treated him like her long lost kitten and after a few days he became my dog's best friend. Also with two cats in the house, one being a pain in the ass, my rabbit Midnight stopped harrassing Pepper about being in "her" room. Pipper is my first male kitty, and I will tell you that they are characters and a half!! This little ball of fur turned into a pain very quickly and still responds to his nicknames I had given him........ The Devil, Baby Devil, Psycho Devil, Psycho Baby Devil, Devil Cat.............seeing a pattern here??

He's slept like this ever since he was a tiny kitten. I think it's adoprable!

After having him just two days, Pipper darted out my front door, down the stairs, and almost ran under my neighbor's porch. I pulled him out by hisn tail and marched his little kitty butt to Petco on his harness. I bought him a color and ID tag. Peper and Freddy would stay on the porch as I was unloading groceries or stuff, but Pipper wanted to dart out the door. I would constantly have to chase him down the stairs and into the bushes. He thought it was a game! Another thing he liked to do, he still does this now, is wake you up by ramming his head into yours. Imagine being asleep and getting woken up to a head ram. It hurt!! He still does this, but not nearly as much. He also learned to play fetch and still does. I'll throw his mouse toy and he will go get it and drop into into my hand. I had to watch him with his mouse toys. He was dangerous with them. Surprisingly he was gentle with the kids when they came over. He loves Allie and McKayla.

He's a lazy cat, but not overweight by any means even at 13 pounds. :)

When I started working at Petco Pipper would expect a toy mouse when I got home. I had to buy him a toy every day, or at least every time I bought something else. If I came home with bags, no matter where they came from, he would help himself and find his own toy. It was so cute1 He still does this ocasionally. If I ever came home with a toy for him in the bags, he would just give me this look and walk away sulking! Can we say spoiled!! I would also take him to school. He rules the halls with his harness on. He was a terror when I had to do anything to him, still is to some extent. When i brought him to school for his first set of shots three people had to hold down this 3 pound kitten. It was sad acutally. I know he was a terror when he was neutered, but Dr. Yprk and Colt, because I worked there, said he was an angel. I know they had to be lying. :) Cutting his nails was a BIG thing. I had to pin him down wrapped in to towels, a blanket, and I still had to sit on him. It's much better now, but he still screams like he's being murdered. Pepper goies into protective mommy mode and even attacked me once trying to get at Kaiya. After a nice cool shower, she never did it again. Gee, wonder why??.......

Yes, he was IN the washer but I was too busy laughing that I missed getting the camera in time. That's my boy!!

The worst Pipper has been was, not this Feb., but last Feb. I was at work when he worked his magic. I am very lucky I said that I couldn't pull that double shift. If I had, I would not have had a house to go back to and dead pets - my worst nightmare. I had just bought all my reptiles new cages, which all had the sliding mesh / wire top. He had inadvertantly fallen into Hiko's tank. The heating lamp and bulb went with him. I came home to a fire starting and my baby bearded dragon laying lifeless on my bathroom floor. The lamp had burned Hiko's log to ash and was starting to spark. I had to throw it into the bathtub with water to stop it from burning. My house was filling with smoke and it smelled like fire. I rushed Hiko to the ER and wanted to cry that they were alright bnut wanted to kill Pipper at the same time. Two days later he had collapsed Hakkai's screen top and he went missing for two days. I cried the entire time. I finally found him scared, but safe in my closet. Both my Snake and Bearded Dragon, although wounded, are still alive and well. Now comes the best part. The very next week Pipper darted out my door as I came in with my dog Freddy. The door was already almost shut when he darted out. I could not stop it from closing. I opened it back up in a panic, only to have him dart back into the house. I then notived his fur on the floor. Just as I started to laught, I took a better look. He had degloved the end of his tail! Another ER trip and an emergency surgery for Pipper to remove the end of his tail where the bone was showing. A very emotional week for me.

He knows the cabnets are off limits. Did I mention he loves bread? I used to have to hide the loaf of bread from him. Bread and collard greens. :)

Now Pipper is three years old and my cuddle bug. He cals to me from acros my apartment. If I want him, all I have to do is call his name and he will come running even if he was in a deep sleep. If I say "Pipper Bug!" He is at my feet looking faster then you can look up. He waits for me when I come home from work and pases at the window when I am late. I call him by Baby Boy, My Boy, My Cuddle Bug, and Big Brother (to the kittens). He's my baby boy! And he was very good at the vet the other day. He took his pills like a champ for two weeks. I just need to be acreful because he will hyperventilate when in the car, so I tend not to take him anywhere.
