Here's Pepper on my couch sporting her new ID tag I just bought her.

Welcome to Pepper's page! This page was last updated on August 26, 2006. All pictures posted at this time were taken between April and August 2006.

When I was in the forth or fifth grade my mom's friend (soon to be boyfriend at the time) gave us two kittens. We named then Muffin and Bisket. Now, keep in mind that my brothers and I were young and my mom had never never had cats, so these two kitties were new to all of us. Eventually Muffin got pregnant and had a litter of 4 adorable tabby kittens! We kept two who we named Pepper and Bumpy. Unfortunately we gave Muffin and Bisket away (with me kicking and screaming). At 6 years old we had to give Bumpy away (again with protects and threats from me and my brothers). I eventually moved out to Colorado with Pepper. She is my life and I cannot live with out. Now let me go into more detail about my baby girl.

This is a rare site. Pepper usually hates Pipper, but she will attact the dog if she hears him cry, even if Kaiya is no where near him at the time.

Pepper was born on April 27th, 1994. At two days old she managed to drag herself from her box from her mom and siblings to come to see me. Keep in mind that kittens are born blind and deaf, but she knew I was there. The second I picked her up, we formed a very strong bond. I rushed home everyday to fall asleep on the floor with this tiny kitten. She would sense I was there and come away from her kitty family to be with me. I talked my mom into letting me keep her. As she grew, our bond grew. She was the only one there for me when I came home from grammer school in tears every day. High school was much better, but very stressful. As always, Pepper was there, always my little shadow. She followed me everywhere. When I had surgery she wouldn't leave my side. Even though Pepper ismy baby, she is very protective of me and was a very tempermental cat. If she wanted to be left alone, she would let you know with claws. Over time she did get better, mostly when I took her to Colorado with me.

This is Pepper and Merlin! Pepper grew up with mice, so she's used to them. Merlin seems at home as well.

I remember when I got my first computer my junior year of high school. It was a piece of crap. One day I was listening to my music and the begining sounded like a snake. Pepper came out from no where and jumped in from of me nearly knocking me off the chair. She was growling at the computer and her hair was on end. She was protecting me.

When I moved on campus to Lebanon Valey College in PA it was extreamly hard on us. At this poiunt Pepper was now the only cat, which was how she liked it. She was never one to get along with any cats, even her sister. I was constantly depressed and would cry just talking to her on the phone. She would meow and lick the phone. She stopped eating and would not leave my room every time I left. During this time I went through a depression. I started to feel like a burden and inconvience to everyone being so far from home. My fish tanks were crashing due to poor care from my family, so every weekend I was coming home by bus to care from them. My bird died due to poor care and my grandmother was hit by a truck and had massive brain dammage thanks to the Hospital. She had to live with my mom. During this time 911 happened and I was almost stuck in the middle do to my normal commute to school. My grandmother died and "family" took our house. Pepper was the only one who was there for me. We have been through so much together. Soon I moved back home and planned my long journey to Colorado.

Look at these two! You can see who is the boss here. Pepper rules the house.

Lets just say that Pepper loved the ride to Colorado. She rulled the RV, it was like she owned it! The first night I spent alone in Colorado was interresting. I was awakened by Pepper jumping on me. I followed her out to the liviving where she stood by the door ready to attack and growling. The guys had the wrong apartment, but Pepper thought she needed to protect me. My little protector. :)

What can I say, she loves bags AND laying on the table.

While out in Colorado Pepper got very sick during my last quarter in school. She was 9 years old at the time. I noticed she was losing weight, so I took her to a vet. I later found out that they were working with a uspended lincense and were soon shut down again. She almost killed Pepper. She didn't even care she was losing weight and said she was fine. I went away to visit home with my dog Freddy. When I came back Pepper had lost more weight and completely stopped eating. I rushed her to school and drew blood myself - she was in Liver Failure. I took her to another hospital and then rushed her to Alamedia East. Dr. Greene saved her life. She had Cholengial Hepititis. I spent over $5000 on here. She had blood work done, Ultrasound and lspleen biopsy, numerous trips to the ER, xrays, and a stomach tube surgically placed into her neck. (I don't want to go into too much detail, so I'm rushing this) I almost had a breakdown. I don;t even know how i managed to pass my last quarter in school, but I did with high B's. Eventually she did get better. During that time I started my job at petco.

The box lover! But then again, what cat doesn't love boxes?

Now I am back in New Jersey and Pepper is now 12. Recent Bloodworm shows that her liver is in perfect working order and everything is fine. We cannot even sleep with touching each other. She is usually acting as my pillow. She is a bit overweight, but not too much. I love my baby girl and I just cannot live without her. :)
