Welcome to my section for my ChampangeTans!! Before I introduce you to my mice, let me first explain how the tan gene works in simple terms.. The tan gene and the fox gene fall in the same genetic spot. Tan is a dominant gene and one only needs one tan mouse to reproduce it. I have been breeding Tan mice for many years, BUT have only been breeding FOR tan in the past three years or so. Tan has always been my favorite and my main line has given me plenty of beautiful, show winning tans and selfs. I have also outcrossed to produce broken tans.

It was very hard to establish a solid tan line due to the fact that at the time no one was breeding for the gene. The only breeder of tan mice I knew of stopped breeding them 3-4 years ago as of 2012. My tans started with a small select few black tans from my friend, and retired breeder (Beth of TMM) and a single Chocolate Tan. Eventually I split the line and started to focus on each color individually. This gave me black, dove, chocolate, and champagne tans. I then took my olny blue tan doe and started to breed for blue tans and I eventually got a blue and silver tan line going. Thanks to my overseas shipment and Jennifer of OSR, I aquired Cinnamon Tans and have produced Umbrous Agouti Tans and Agouti from them. I have since incorporated better typed mice (Thanks to OSR, CMM, WNT, and my overseas breeders) into my lines to improve them and establish better color and type. I would like to thank CMM specifically for her help with my silver and blue tan lines. My tans have a long way to go, but I am happy with the outcome so far. My tans are award winning mice and have placed at the ECMA and MaMa/FMA shows.

Below you will find pictures and pedigrees (when available) of my current mice. Keep in mind that not all my mice may be posted yet. I do have alot of mice here at the mousery and it is easy to forget a few. Plus.... not every mouse is photogenic!! To see their pedigrees, just click on the picture of the mouse. The mice in these pages are NOT FOR SALE, so please do not even ask. To view available mice, please go to the nursery. I hope you enjoy my mice!
